As a ski enthusiast, I enjoyed the slopes in Colorado and Utah.  As I rode the lift up the mountain, I marveled at how the sun made the snow sparkle like a field of diamonds. There are some slopes that stay open into the summer for a special after school year family trip.

Many ski areas now offer off-season activities including festivals, horseback riding, ziplines, alpine coasters and, of course, hiking and biking.

When I travel with my family, we like to cover multiple areas of interests to keep everyone engaged.  In Charleston not only do we enjoy spending time on the beach and fishing, we also take time to explore historic sites and shop for local crafts at the old Slave Market.  A trip to visit family in Buffalo was expanded to include a day at an amusement park and a visit to Niagara Falls where our kids experienced their first passport check as we ventured to the Canada side of the falls.

As a travel advisor, I ask my clients the following questions to start planning their vacation - What it is that you enjoy doing most?   What were the highlights of past trips you have taken?   Are there multiple interests that you would like to combine?

Once you have an idea of the type of vacation you want to take, involve your travel advisor who can work out all the details and even offer some alternative options you might not have thought of.

I have so many exciting domestic trips planned for my clients.  Are you planning a girl’s getaway?  Would you prefer a wine tour or a shopping and spa getaway?  How about combining it all either in southern California wine country or closer to home along Virginia’s wine trail.

Have you been daydreaming of a European river cruise?  You might want to consider a US river cruise. A variety of ships cruise the Mississippi, Columbia & Snake Rivers, New England and Alaska waterways.  In 2022 world leader Viking River Cruises will start offering cruises on the Mississippi from Minnesota's Lake Itasca to the Gulf of Mexico.

A personal travel advisor will work with you to ensure your trip is tailored to your criteria. Travel agents can put all the components together into one package, so you don’t have to deal with booking separate transportation, accommodations, tours, and travel protection. Travel agents can even handle special accessibility needs you or your family might have.

You will be happy you have your advisor on speed dial when there is a bump in the road such as a medical emergency, a delayed flight, or missing luggage. We are the experts you call for any travel related issues or concerns.
